At A Better Version Collaborative Counseling, we believe transparency around rates and insurance is an important part of ethical, trauma-informed care. Below you’ll find information about therapy fees, insurance participation, professional services, and our policies. 

Therapy Rates

Our standard rates apply to individual therapy, couples/marriage therapy, family therapy, and EMDR therapy, unless otherwise noted.

Standard Therapy Sessions

$135 / 60 Min

Initial Assessments

$150

A limited number of  sliding fee sessions may be available upon request, based on clinician availability and individual circumstances.

*Phone Calls lasting more than 10 minutes are prorated at psychotherapy session fee of $135.

EMDR Intensives

In addition to standard therapy sessions, we offer EMDR intensives for individuals who may benefit from more focused, extended trauma processing work. 

EMDR intensives involve longer sessions tailored to individual goals, readiness, and 

clinical appropriateness, while still prioritizing safety and nervous system regulation.​

Rates, structure, and availability are discussed individually. 

Professional Services

Professional Consultation

We offer consultation services for clinicians, organizations, and community partners seeking trauma-informed clinical insight and support.

Consultation Rate:

$150 / Hour

Rates may vary slightly depending on the scope or structure of consultation.

Consultation services are professional in nature and do not constitute therapy.

Licensure Supervision

Licensure supervision is available for clinicians working toward independent licensure, based on availability and scope of practice. 

Supervision Rate:

$125 / Hour

Structure, frequency, and any rate adjustments are discussed individually.

Additional Services

Phone calls, consultations, or coordination of care lasting more than 10 minutes may be porated 
at the standard psychotherapy session rate of $135 when clinically appropriate.

Insurance & Payment Options

We offer both insurance-based and private pay therapy, depending on provider availability  Insurance participation may vary by clinician. Our team is happy to help you.

Our practice is in-network with several insurance plans, depending on clinician participation and availability. Plans we currently work with may include:

We also accept select Medicaid and Medicare plans, depending on clinician participation. Insurance coverage may vary by therapist and individual plan. Please contact us to verify benefits and confirm in-network status. If your insurance plan is not listed, we’re happy to discuss private pay or out-of-network options. 

Good Faith Estimate & No Surprises Act

Under the No Surprises Act, indiiduals who are not using insurance or who choose to self-pay have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of therapy services.
 
A Good Faith Estimate will be provided upon request and reflects anticipated charges based on the services discussed. Actual costs may vary depending on individual treatment needs.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a fee equal to part or all of the session cost.
 
If you are rescheduling and an opening is available within the same week, this fee may be waived.

Rates & Insurance: Common Questions

Are couples, family, and EMDR sessions the same rate as individual therpy?
Yes. All standard therapy sessions are offered at the same rate.
Is EMDR therapy more expensive than regular therapy?
No. Standard EMDR sessions are the same rate. EMDR intensives are priced separately due to their extended format.
Do you accept insurance for couples or family therapy?
Insurance coverage varies by plan. Our team can help you review your benefits.
Are consultation and supervision covered by insurance?
No. Professional consultation and licensure supervision are not billed through insurance.
